Description
In 1856, 21-year-old former draper apprentice Thomas Burberry opened an outfitter shop in Basingstoke, Hampshire, England, and started a fashion empire. With his focus on durable, comfortable fabrics, Burberry’s store became known as an emporium with a focus on developing outdoor wear for local residents and visiting sportsmen. In 1981, Burberry spread its influence into the world of perfumery with its line of men’s Burberry cologne and created an instant sensation with Burberry for Men.
Top notes of bergamot and lavender provide a subtle and classic introduction to the fragrance’s warm spices. Middle notes consist of rich leather, warm cinnamon, amber and a hint of intriguing mimosa flower form artfully balanced heart notes. Base notes of dense oak moss, guaiac wood, opoponax and raw tobacco leaves give the scent body and evoke classic masculinity.
For long-lasting fragrance that you can carry throughout the day and to minimize the need for reapplying, focus on your pulse points behind your ears, at the base of your neck and on your wrists as well as warmer areas of the body, such as behind the knees and inside the elbow. These are the best places to apply your fragrance since the scent intensifies by the warmth of your body.
